This week we bring you our most exciting images from Grahamstown. We have kept the text to the minimum and have also only focused on some of the visual arts.

A fine selection from over 2000 works from 1935-92 by one of the fathers of Black Art in S.A.,  Gerard Sekoto,  recently returned from France and displayed here for the first time in the Observatory Museum.

William Kentridge  " The Return of Ulysses, Il Ritorno d'Ulisse "
William Kentridge and the Handspring Puppet Company presented  this multimedia opera featuring William's animation's, European singers,  South African actors and a feast of music based on Claudio Monteverdi's.

Emergence  an Exhibition covering the last 25 years of art making in South Africa and the various influences on this process.
